I don’t even have words to express my sadness, this guy was TRULY an AWESOME human being - and will be sorely missed. May you rest in peace, Dr. Pausch.

This planet lost one of its finest today.

And my deepest sympathies to his wife and children.

Out of the blue - Or, why I am one lucky lady :)

Can I just share with all of you, that despite the CRAP I am dealing with….I really AM very fortunate. My friends are simply AWESOME!

Out of no where today, I get this package in the mail — what is IN the package you might ask? Wellllll, it the Special Edition Breast Cancer Pink Sock Kit that was offered for sale several months ago on Ravelry. My stinker of a friend ordered one for me, and they were just delivered. This is the same someone that won’t allow me to send her any more gifts, but SHE can do it….HARDY HAR HAR, dear one. You’ve got something coming your way, and you cannot refuse it because I am going to MAKE it with my own two hands, so THERE!

I don’t know if she wants me to mention her name here, so I will just say MaryAnn, I love you - THANKS for making my day. Those of you that know her — will know who it is, but I won’t post her username so as not to embarrass her

Oh, I stole this picture from HER site (Mare, if you want to do give it back, just LMK, ok?) to share with you — well crap! She doesn’t have a photo up yet! Guess I will have to take my own!  Will get them up ASAP! It really IS SPECATUALR stuff in that kit!!!

How can some people reach out to you for help with one hand, and have the other hand turning a knife in your back?

Does anyone but ME wonder how these kinds live with themselves? And the absolute WORST part of this whole thing…It’s MY BROTHER that is doing it. Nice, eh?

A little help from my friends ;)

No one will ever be able to convince me that prayers do not work! Yesterday — for the first time in so long I can’t even remember how long it’s been — I actually had a “good” day!!!

I was actually able to get up and get some things done that have been eating at me for literally months! I was able to take care of my beloved cherry tree (I think it may be a bit too little and a bit too late, but I was ABLE to do it!!) I was able do a bit of other quick gardening tasks that have been waiting for me since the beginning of spring, cook a nice dinner, do a couple of loads of laundry AND vacuum half the house!

Now, I know you’re saying “yeah, so”? But you see, I am usually not able to do ANY of this kind of thing….and ALL of this was able to be done by ME, in ONE DAY and ALL BY MY SELF — someone that has been so sick that a list like that would normally take me at LEAST 10 days to complete, I was able to do in ONE DAY and I cannot tell you how amazing it was to feel like a somewhat normal person again! And it’s all thanks to my asking for prayers, because there has not been one single other change in my life whatsoever!

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all — and please, by all means — if you can continue, I would be forever grateful! It would be absolutely AWESOME if I were able to have days like this every now and then!! I am not asking for every day to be that fantastic — just every now and then would make me one of the most happy people on earth!!!!!!!!

I have some more things to add that have also done amazing things to my keeping my head above water these past few months (namely, my wonderfully knid friend KnittingLeftie that has been more kind to me than one person could ever even HOPE for, and sent me some AWESOME presents that I have to get photographed and uploaded to share with you that have done wonderful things for my mood — but to be honest, her friendship means more than ALL of the gifts combined (and WAIT until you SEE what she’s sent!! I am one LUCKY girl!!)….and I will do that just as soon as I can get the photos taken. Be prepared for some eye popping greatness, my friends! She’s got GREAT taste!!!

I will get this done and post ASAP — but for today — I must rest! I am hurting in places I forgot I HAD — but for once, it’s a GOOD hurt
